Ricochet is back at it again with her unconditional ability to give to her community. Ricochet, known as Rip Curl Ricki the Surfin’ for Paws-abilities Surf Dog raised over $10,000 and 3 year grant from her sponsor WebMD Health Foundation for Patrick Ivison, a quadriplegic who was also her 15 year old tandem surf partner throughout the Summer and Fall surf season in San Diego.
Since the water has cooled down for the season, Ricochet has donned her Surfin Santa Paws outfit and let the life jacket have a rest in her box of toys she uses to help raise funds for those in need.
The new project taken on by Ricochet benefits children who have been hospitalized this holiday season. She is once again eager to make a difference and donation efforts will go to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and Hurley’s Living The Dream Foundation, which together with Ricochet, will distribute the toys to CHOC Children’s Hospital.
Toys are most useful and books are always a welcome interactive gift for any child. Ricochet is accepting tax deductible toy donations, or gift cards for toy/book stores through December 18th, via the US Postal Service. Toys can be mailed to:
